Happy Sunday, my lovelies. I hope you’re soaking in the sunshine. I’ve taken a beat from reading much in the way of articles over the past week, but I still have a handful of bits and bobs that have gotten me through the days.
Some happy mail came this week in the form of Pitchouli Sweetgrass incense from P.F. Candle Co. After smelling it at a friend’s house, I knew getting it for myself was inevitable. Bonus! They’re doing free shipping on all orders right now.
An article I did read recently was sent to me by a trusted friend. That Discomfort You’re Feeling Is Grief gave language to how I’ve been feeling, and I’m thankful.
One of my saving graces this week has been the brand new Here For You, a daily podcast by the creators of Forever35 on how to take care of ourselves in the time of Coronavirus. It’s like starting each weekday morning with a 20 minute chat with friends.
A little help in the kitchen from Samin Nosrat is always welcome, but it’s never come at a more perfect. Her new podcast Home Cooking with Hrishikesh Hirway helps you figure out what to cook in quarantine, putting all those pantry staples to good news. It’s delightful, brimming over with food puns, and I’m ready to make all of the recipes discussed.
To be honest, I needed an escape from reality in a major way, and the cringey yet fascinating and oh-so-bingeable Love Is Blind is doing just that for me. I. am. hooked. Big time.
Perhaps I’m simply listening to more music lately, but suddenly Spotify is actually getting these daily mixes for me spot. on. I look forward to them each day. You can listen the latest cocktail of songs they’ve made for me here.
On the agenda today is making this No Bake Peanut Butter Pie. Is there anything better than peanut butter and chocolate?
Later this week, I’ll be making these Mango Ginger Rice Bowls, subbing the rice with cauliflower rice. I can taste it already. And it’s good.
Be well, friends.
xoxo
