Woof. What a week. I’m hanging in there. Are you hanging in there? Tell me how. Here are a few little things that helped me limp through the past week.
Jojo Rabbit. I didn’t have the chance to see this total gem of a film in the theater, but boy am I glad it found me when it did. I couldn’t look away from the screen — absolutely riveted. It’s funny and warm and heartbreaking, all in the shadow of a different end-of-the-world type of time. Loved. Loved, loved, loved.
Phone a Friend with George Ezra and Ollie MN. Two long distance friends checking in and talking about mental health has been such a help lately. They’re so charming and delightful and British and I can’t get enough.
Speaking of George Ezra, I’d started the podcast without realizing a new a song or two of his. New to me is “Hold My Girl,” which is adding some much needed sweetness to my days.
MasterChef season 10. I mean, crazy stressful, right?! But it was fun to get so invested that you end up whooping and hollering alone in your apartment, blowing up your little sister’s phone as you live text the unfolding chaos.
Inspired as ever by Joy the Baker, I’ve been sipping on sun tea (with a splash of lemonade, just like Joy) and it’s delicious.
And now to leave you with a wish for you and for me: go forth and thrive.
xoxo,
Sally
