I’ll be honest. This past week? Not my favorite. I’ve found little in the way of inspiration, but here’s a podcast-heavy offering all the same.
Stanley Tucci made a negroni and the whole world is loving it. L-O-V-I-N-G it. He’s effortless and charming, it’s somehow the most soothing thing to watch, and am I fanning myself?
The latest episode of The Splendid Table made my heart skip a beat, bringing on guests Alison Roman and Kwame Onwuachi. As if host Francis Lam wasn’t enough! Triple goodness.
I didn’t know that what my life was missing, apart from human interaction, was Brad Pitt playing Dr. Fauci on SNL, but now I do.
Queer Eye got me through the beginning of quarantine, so when Tan France showed up on Staying In with Emily & Kumail to discuss “fashion in the weirds,” it was basically like lying in a hammock for your ears. Does that make sense? Nothing makes sense.
Catching up on recent episodes of Table Manners, I stumbled back into my early Great British Bake Off days of being delighted by their virtual guests and former hosts Mel & Sue. It made me laugh, and that seems noteworthy.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Samin Nostrat’s Home Cooking is the comfort soup of podcasts.
Hugging you from afar.
xoxo,
Sally
