It’s short, it’s sweet. Here’s what got me through last week.
Never Have I Ever, Mindy Kaling’s latest brainchild on Netflix, was hands down the find of the week. 30 seconds in, I was completely hooked. Hilarious and heartfelt, this show is an authentic romp through the wild highs and lows of growing up. I can’t tell you how my heart sank when I realized I had unknowingly watched the last episode!
There is something about this rhythm of slowing down that has me more in the habit listening to whole albums again. While I was familiar with all these songs before, I can’t stop going through The Head and the Heart’s Living Mirage from start to finish.
I tried on a long-awaited outfit that arrived earlier this week and felt completely transformed. My mood did a 180 and this packable straw hat from Madewell had a lot to do with it.
I don’t drink martinis, but I’ll watch Stanley Tucci make a martini any day.
After months and months of slowly chipping away, I finally finished Few Eggs and No Oranges by Vere Hodgson. Reading about life during the Blitz in London has been a comforting reminder that we can do hard things.
Hope springs eternal with The Great Realisation.
Deep breaths. Light and love.
xoxo,
Sally
